Weekend Scout Programs

Weekend Scout Programs provide in-depth science exploration and transform the traditional field trip into a focused learning experience centered on your chosen theme. Each program contains a series of hands-on activities that goes toward fulfilling your badge requirements.

Scout Programs include hands-on activities, admission to the exhibitions, an IMAX film, and a souvenir fun patch.

  • Offered Saturdays, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm with 1:15pm IMAX movie; or 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm with 4:15 pm IMAX movie
  • $32.00 per Scout per program
  • $17.50 per chaperone
  • Maximum of 30 and minimum of 10 scouts per session

We offer several special days for scouts to come to LSC and work on achievements in our exhibition galleries and hands-on laboratories. Scout It Out Days include scavenger hunts designed just for scouts, full access to our exhibitions and free live science demonstrations, a souvenir patch, and more!

Program Details


Activities are exhibition-oriented and will also incorporate floor programs and hands-on investigation.

Scouts receive an activity booklet to complete.

Scouts will receive a souvenir badge.

Activities will be available from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Dental Office Visit

Dental 2000 in Totowa and Dr. Kaplan would like to offer tours of the office and explain the importance of oral hygiene to Girl Scout Troops and their parents. They will present girls with a Dental Visit badge.
